Vivek Agnihotri’s film explores the exodus and its aftermath, showing the brutalities faced by Kashmiri Pandits (KP) due to their religion. The film recreates real-life incidents like the murder of telecom engineer BK Ganjoo and the Nadimarg massacre, where 24 Hindu Kashmiri Pandits were killed by militants. We see these events through the eyes of ageing nationalist Pushkar Nath Pandit (Anupam Kher), his friends, and his on-the-fence grandson, Krishna (Darshan Kumaar).

Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri’s direction is good, with a narrative that appeals to the class audience. The music could have been better, and the lyrics are not memorable. The background music and cinematography are impressive, but the editing could have been sharper.
