Global conflict and its impact have always been a subject of powerful cinema. When innocent children are involved, it’s easy to create stories that tug at your heart. The movie has a few uplifting moments where you see kids just being kids, running and leaping with joy on the make-shift pitch.

Sanjay Dutt appears in yet another world-weary role this year. The best we can say about his performance is that it is not as disappointing as Sadak 2. However, Sanjay needs to choose his films more thoughtfully to showcase his charisma and screen presence.

The film is brilliantly photographed, capturing the beautiful Afghan landscapes with confidence, along with gritty sequences of explosions. The editing could have been tighter for a film that struggles with its slow pace. By the end, you are too bored to care about the success of Nasser in his mission.

The makers missed an opportunity to explore the impact of children being turned into suicide bombers. The screenplay fails to bring the issue to life and instead provides excessive explanatory text at the beginning of the film, which dumbs it down for the audience.
